‘This Is Us’ season 2 poster has arrived, and we’re already ugly crying

‘This Is Us’ will return on September 26, and NBC released a new poster to tease the season premiere this fall.

We’re just over a month away from the return for This Is Us. The series made waves last year with an Emmy-nominated first season and has fans stocking up on tissues. We’ll have to wait until the end of September to see how many of those tissues we need, but it’s a safe assumption we’ll need more than a few.

So far the promotion has been limited to a few interviews at TCA and Chrissy Metz doing the rounds on talk shows. That’s expected to get a boost as we hit the home stretch before the premiere of the new season, and the poster NBC released hints at that surge.

Here’s a look at the poster:

A few thoughts….

  1. It’s pretty clear that this is going to be another big season for Kate with plenty of emotional fire power
  2. If Jack dies in the premiere, he’s seemingly not going anywhere in the flashback timeline
  3. Can we talk about how spot on the ‘Young Kate’ is to the present day Kate? Holy crap.
  4. It is likely no accident that Jack and Rebecca take center stage in the poster.

Perhaps the biggest takeaway from this is that the series will be returning soon. Our wait is almost over, as This Is Us returns on September 26th.
