As This Is Us Season 2 remains in production ahead of its big premiere this September, it’s as if the Pearsons never left us for the summer. The cast has kept fans up to date with behind the scenes photos and teases, and they have even made waves on panels and game shows. Long story short: We’re beyond spoiled with this cast and crew.

Now, as the hiatus winds down and we inch closer to This Is Us’ highly-anticipated (the understatement of the century) second season, we’re learning more information about what’s to come for the Pearsons. In particular, Beth Pearson will be going back to work full-time since Randall has quit his job. Lest there be any concern, Beth dresses the part of a high-powered urban planner. Susan Kelechi Watson has shared exclusive snaps of Beth’s Season 2 look on Instagram, and if it’s at all possible, we’re even more obsessed with the new-school Pearson matriarch than we were before. As previously announced by Dan Fogelman at the This Is Us Emmys FYC panel with Deadline, Beth will be heading back to work as an urban planner in Season 2. Well, Susan Kelechi Watson has given us a preview of Beth Pearson’s fire office attire. Watson shared an on-set photo of herself “getting my Beth on.”

Susan Kelechi Watson also teased a first look at one of Beth’s outfits in Season 2, and threatened to swipe the custom poncho from set. Watson wrote on Instagram alongside the photo, “My costume designer, Hala Bahmet, gave Beth a taste of Mali, Africa today in this custom design, hand woven poncho… that they might not get back.” Finders, keepers!

And of course, here’s an always welcome throwback to Watson’s flawless look for the Television Critics Association Awards earlier this month. She rocked a bedazzled black dress adorned with a blazer and a fierce high braid. When will your faves?

It goes without saying, but we are positively loving Susan Kelechi Watson’s preview photos of Beth, a character we simply love and want to get to know even more. While these snaps are merely a taste, we’re expecting huge things for Beth Pearson in Season 2 as she does good for her city as an urban planner and works through marital bumps with Randall. More than anything, all This Is Us fans can’t wait to watch Watson get her Beth on!
