Sterling K. Brown isn’t against the idea of exploring tension with Beth and Randall

Sterling K. Brown is admitting that he is totally fine with the idea of exploring the tension between Randall and Beth on This Is Us.

So far on This Is Us, Beth and Randall seem like the perfect couple. They have had a few small disagreements. Now, Us Weekly shared that Sterling K. Brown is admitting that he isn’t afraid to explore the tension between these two at one point.

After taking home the Critics’ Choice Award for Best Actor in a Drama, Sterling K. Brown talked to the reporters. Right now, Sterling is hoping that they end up looking into the relationship between Randall and Beth. They haven’t been a huge focus on the show, but he wants to see it go that way a bit more. Here is what Sterling had to say about it.

"“I would love to explore the background of the relationship with Beth and Randall, how they came to be. For Randall, to have been raised by his white family, it was really awesome to go to Howard University and see that he had this yearning for his culture. Obviously, he chose this beautiful black woman for his wife, so I’m curious as to how that came to be. I also want to spend a little bit more time with my sister because the twins have a very strong connection with one another. My brother and I have a very strong connect with one another, and I want to explore more the relationship between Randall and Kate. So those are two things that are on my mind right now.”"

With Beth and Randall having foster children coming into their house and even considering the idea of adoption, then maybe they will end up having a few issues, but the idea of this couple not lasting is totally shocking. Fans know that Beth is around to stay. As Sterling said, they may have to work to make it, but they will.
