Chrissy Metz tells Rachael Ray her one big takeaway from lunch with Oprah

What did Chrissy Metz learn from Oprah? The This Is Us star stopped by Rachael Ray to spill details about her lunch with the mogul.
It’s not every day that you get to break bread with Oprah Winfrey, even if you are one of the stars of TV’s hottest drama series. But Chrissy Metz has been sharing details about her lunch with Oprah from Watch What Happens Live (where she also talked about Kim Kardashian’s supposed fandom of her show) and now to Rachael Ray, where she tells the chef and talk show host about the biggest takeaway from her experience with the icon.
While promoting her memoir This Is Me, Chrissy Metz has been appearing here, there, and everywhere, but we’re certainly not complaining — especially when she’s dishing details about celebrity lunches. As she tells Rachael Ray, upon entering Oprah’s home, Metz complimented the beautiful house. Rather than being modest, Oprah thanked Metz and said, “I know.” It seems like only Oprah could pull off such modest self-awareness, but it’s a lesson in accepting a compliment. Suddenly, we’re taking notes.

During her chat with Rachael Ray, Metz also shared exclusive details about her upcoming movie The Impossible and the true story upon which its based. The film follows the mother of a child who has fallen in a frozen lake but comes back to life after being declared dead through the power of faith. But before we can buy our popcorn and cry over Chrissy Metz’s stellar acting in public for once, Metz has to film the movie in freezing Winnipeg.
Elsewhere in the conversation, Metz delved into her inspiration behind This Is Me and the “be mindful” portions (which connect to her spirit animal). Of course, she had to talk about This Is Us, but instead of mining Metz for spoilers, Ray asked about Kate’s wedding dress from the Season 2 finale.
