This Is Us stars Milo Ventimiglia and Justin Hartley talked This Is Us at Chicago’s comic expo C2E2 and shared some behind the scenes stories.
Even when This Is Us is off the air, the promotional trail doesn’t end. Since ending Season 2, the cast has already sang their show’s praises at events such as SXSW in Austin, Texas, but two of its leading stars headed to a fan convention in Chicago for a different experience. Although the NBC drama isn’t a comic book show by any stretch of the imagination, Milo Ventimiglia and Justin Hartley appeared at the C2E2 comic expo, and you have to watch their talk.
Right off the back, Milo Ventimiglia goes full Papa Jack as he steps on his soapbox regarding the modernization of photography (call them “photographs,” not “selfies”) and spreads the good word about the unifying quality of This Is Us. Further bring home those Jack Pearson vibes, Justin Hartley shares a story about Milo’s tendency to be protective over the cast. Could this on-screen/off-screen family get any sweeter?
Elsewhere during the talk at C2E2, Hartley shared his memory of his first fan convention at San Diego Comic-Con for Smallville and other behind the scenes stories about the cast of This Is Us. Unfortunately, there weren’t any spoilers about Season 3 spilled, but it’s always a treat to watch these two spend time together (since we know they can’t on TV). But what’s one fact about Justin Hartley that would surprise fans? You’ll have to watch their chat from the convention to find out Milo’s answer!
