Over the course of two seasons on This Is Us, Jack Pearson has become one of America’s all-time favorite TV dads and husbands. Viewers adore the fictitious patriarch and are equally smitten with the actor who plays him, Milo Ventimiglia.

In a cast full of stellar performers, Milo Ventimiglia is a fan favorite. In addition to being a terrific actor, he’s incredibly handsome. It’s not easy to remain smoking hot in three different decades, especially when sporting a porn mustache that would make most adult film actors say, “Hey, you might want to dial that back a bit.”

With shooting for the highly anticipated  Season 3 underway and an Emmy nod for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series, Ventimiglia is very much in the public eye. Ventimiglia is busy promoting — what cast and crew promise — is going to be This Is Us‘ best season yet.

There’s no such thing as too much Milo which is why we’ve come up with four reasons why Ventimiglia is just so darn loveable.

More from This Is Us

1. He’s hardworking and humble.

Playing Jack Pearson really put Ventimiglia on the map but becoming a household name didn’t exactly happen overnight.

“I’ve been doing this for 23 years, and I’ve had to prove time and again that I’ve earned the job, that I’m supposed to be there, that I can represent the group,”Ventimiglia told Megyn Kelly on TODAY. He went on to say, “It does take time. Life takes time.”

Amy Sherman-Palladino, co-creator of The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel and Gilmore Girls (Ventimiglia played Jess Mariano, Luke Dane’s nephew and Rory Gilmore’s love interest, on the series), praised Ventimiglia, and his dedication to his craft during an interview with Variety:

“From a very, very young age, and I know that it’s only gotten stronger and better as he’s turned into the man he is, Milo has a work ethic and professionalism. He walked onto the set with not just respect for the process, but a very much ‘I’m here. I’m in it,’ getting to know the crew immediately, who they are. Really into rehearsing. Really into respecting his other actors and being there for their off-camera as they are for his off-camera.”

Time and again, Ventimiglia refuses to take sole credit for his success, acknowledging everyone from writers to hair and make up to his co-stars.

2. He’s single.

Okay, so hooking up with Ventimiglia is a long shot for most single ladies, but there’s no denying that his availability adds to his allure. A girl can dream after all.

So, what is Ventimiglia looking for in a woman? Ventimiglia didn’t disclose to Kelly much about what he hopes to find in an ideal mate, but he stated “kindness” and “a lot of heart” are at the top of his wish list. The actor doesn’t appear to be in a rush to settle down, “You wait for it to happen.”

Ventimiglia has a history of mixing business with pleasure. His past romances include former Gilmore Girls co-star Alexis Bledel (The Handmaid’s Tale ) and former Heroes cast member, Hayden Panettiere (Nashville ).

3. He believes in clean living.

Jack Pearson struggles with alcohol abuse, but Ventimiglia is a teetotaler. In addition to abstaining from alcohol, Ventimiglia doesn’t smoke or eat meat. Judging from those biceps, he also spends a lot of time in the gym.

Ventimiglia’s only vice appears to be swearing. Kelly got the actor to admit he has a fondness for the F-word.

And did we forget to mention that he enjoys cooking and cleaning?

4. He’s close to his family.

Ventimiglia told Kelly that when he isn’t working, he makes family a top priority. Ventimiglia revealed he spends every weekend with his mom and dad.

Ventimiglia believes his parents are proud, citing the fact that his mom was his first real fan.
