Even celebrities get starstruck. The cast of This Is Us gathered at the Pearson’s cabin for a photo shoot with Annie Leibovitz, and the show’s stars couldn’t contain their excitement over working with the legendary photographer.

Leibovitz has photographed some of the most recognizable faces in the world including: John Lennon, Michael Jackson, Adele, Lady Gaga, Demi Moore, Tom Cruise along with former spouse Katie Holmes and a newborn Suri, Rihanna and Serena Williams. Leibovitz has been the driving creative force behind several iconic magazine and album covers.

Leibovitz is a fan of the hit drama series. The last time the photographer shot for a TV show was The Sopranos in 2005.

Although the younger members of the cast were absent, Milo Ventimiglia (Jack), Mandy Moore (Rebecca), Sterling K. Brown (Randall), Justin Hartley (Kevin), Chrissy Metz (Kate), Susan Kelechi Watson (Beth) and Chris Sullivan (Toby) all gathered together for the promotional shoot.

“It’s exciting. It’s nice when a legendary photographer, from the many years of good work that she does, is now working with us over here,” Milo Ventimiglia stated in an exclusive behind-the-scenes video.

This Is Us is riding a wave of both critical and commercial success. In 2017, the series was the first broadcast network show to receive an Emmy nod for Outstanding Drama Series since The Good Wife in 2011. The show received eight nominations in 2018.

The cast have become household names, and they all remain grateful for opportunities that continue to come their way — like being shot by Leibovitz.

“It’s completely humbling and pretty mind-blowing … It’s nice to work with someone who is at the height of their craft and has been so forever,” said Brown.

“It’s pretty humbling that she’s watched every episode of our show,” Moore said. “I mean, that’s definitely a win for us.”
