This Is Us: Moore and Ventimiglia have best 10-year challenge responses

The 10-year Challenge is all the rage across social media these days and the Pearsons are no exception. Our favorite TV couple, Jack and Rebecca, have their own take on the last 10 years.

The 10-year Challenge, in case you didn’t know, is a movement across social media to display a photo of yourself 10 years ago alongside a photo of yourself today. Both Mandy Moore and Milo Ventimiglia had their own responses to the challenge.

Mandy Moore took a humorous route and cheekily displayed a younger photo of herself alongside a photo from This Is Us of her in old-age makeup. The caption for the photo reads “These last 10 years have REALLY aged me.” Fans loved Moore’s adorable and funny response to the challenge, showing her to be a good sport for taking part, but also offering a commentary on the frivolity of internet challenges like this one. Moore seems to have a wonderful, light-hearted sense of humor that immediately endears her to her fans. I wouldn’t doubt if she gained a few fans with this post alone.

As for Milo Ventimiglia, NBC took the liberty to address what many of his fans might have been thinking from the beginning. The network offered a side by side of Ventimiglia, one of him in NBC’s cult favorite series Heroes as Peter Petrelli and one of him currently as Jack Pearson in This Is Us. The caption reads, “From one of our @heroes to, well, one of our heroes.”

While I love Milo Ventimiglia, before I started watching This Is Us I only really knew him as Petrelli from Heroes. And while I love Jack Pearson – and he is one of my heroes – I sometimes just look at him and think about Peter Petrelli.

While there are some pretty good responses to the 10-year Challenge out there, I think these two are some the best there is to offer.
