Randall Pearson may be in big trouble on This Is Us. Check out these exclusive photos from Season 4, Episode 11.

Has anyone else felt like they’ve been holding their breath since last week’s This Is Us midseason premiere? Randall Pearson may be in for the fight of us life, both physically and mentally, after coming face-to-face with a mysterious intruder in last week’s closing scene. Let’s break down what could happen this week during “A Hell of a Week: Part One.”

Is Randall okay?

It’s no secret that the back half of This Is Us Season 4 will explore Randall’s mental health and anxiety. That journey began last week as he had to deal with the weight of keeping his mother’s health a secret, on top of this new intruder encounter. All signs point to Randall making it out alive, but there’s a good chance he will have a mental battle to overcome.

The photo above shows Randall doesn’t look to be in a good place in part one of this season’s trilogy. As the episode title states, he’s in for one hell of a week, though there’s fear the worst could actually be yet to come. Either way, Randall has a lot to think about when it comes to his mother’s health, his own wellbeing, and ensuring his family stays out of harm’s way.

Public speaking

This image tells us that despite the week he’s had, Randall will muster up the courage to speak in front of a large audience. We can assume this appearance is in relation to his city councilmen job, though it could be a personal account of his anxiety struggles. Maybe Randall has decided to speak out and help others?

We’re happy to see Beth will be supporting Randall along the way no matter what. Their marriage is rumored to be a major part of Randall’s new storyline. After they survived major hurdles in Season 3, I have no doubt they’ll make it through this new chapter.

Sophie is back?

Sophie is back! Well… sort of. Amanda Leighton and Logan Shroyer return as the young, married Sophie and Kevin. Last week’s episode marked the potential return of present-day Sophie after she tried calling Kevin for some strange reason. We can only wonder if the two are destined to be married once again, but it looks like we’ll catch a glimpse of how their marriage played out many years ago in a new flashback sequence.
