This Is Us Season 4, Episode 11: Live stream & what you need to know
Randall Pearson will battle his anxiety in this week’s This Is Us episode. Here’s what you can expect and how to watch Season 4, Episode 11 live.
Last week marked the Season 4 midseason premiere for This Is Us and you can bet we were crying. We learned more about Rebecca’s health, the future of Kevin’s love life, and what exactly was going on with Toby and Kate. Now, our attention is being turned toward the shocking cliffhanger in which Randall encountered an intruder in his own home. Where do we go from here?
Randall vs. anxiety
One thing is for sure – this episode will heavily focus on Randall and his anxiety. In fact, that’s the only thing that was revealed in the synopsis for the start of this trilogy entitled, “A Hell of a Week: Part One.” The official promo (featured down below) for this week’s episode shows Randall breathing through his encounter before confidently stating, “You will not get past me.”

We also see several flashbacks of Randall grappling with nightmares throughout his life that we’re sure have left a mark on his mental health. He sees monsters as a child, has trouble sleeping as a teenager after Jack passed away, and one of his adult nightmares shows him screaming while someone, possibly himself, caresses a sleeping Beth.
How exactly will these dreams factor in to Randall’s current circumstances? It would seem the intruder showdown will bring back many unwanted memories after he makes it past that night, considering there’s a very little chance that Randall will be physically harmed in the process. We just have to wonder, though… Who is this man? Is he against Randall’s politics? Is this a random break-in?
More surprises in store?
We didn’t think it could get much bigger than Randall’s shocking encounter, but Michael Ausiello of TVLine revealed an interesting tidbit that has us crying already. The report states, “That scary moment from the midseason premiere pales in comparison to the shocking way a character we know and love reacts to something that happens in the next episode.” Oh, no.
Who’s reacting to what? Assuming this is unrelated to Randall and Beth, it’s somewhat hard to guess which character will fit that teaser. Does it have to do with Kevin and Sophie? What about Kate and Toby? Does Kevin find out already about Randall carrying Rebecca’s secret. Or is this hint in regards to something that has already happened in the past? It sounds like things are about to get ugly.
Back in the day
Speaking of the past, this week’s episode will of course head back in time to tell more stories. The image above demonstrates Jack taking care of Rebecca, which makes us wonder if maybe she battled health issues when she was younger? Or is Jack simply being the gentleman we’ve known and loved? As noted in this week’s photo preview, we also know that young Kevin and Sophie are back, but we don’t know what they’re up to.
