This Is Us Season 4, Episode 12 photos: Kevin and Sophie reunited

The newest episode of This Is Us will focus on Kevin and his relationship with Sophie. These new photos show the former lovers reunited.

This Is Us fans are eagerly anticipating Tuesday’s new Kevin-centric episode, which is appropriately titled, “A Hell of a Week: Part Two.” As to not reveal too much, the synopsis simply states, “Kevin revisits his past and questions his future.” NBC has released a number of interesting photos that preview Kevin’s trip to Pittsburgh to comfort Sophie after the passing of her mother.

Kevin says goodbye

Some may be wondering why Kevin dropped everything to help a woman from his past. You’ll have to remember that Kevin and Sophie were once married for a brief time and shared many important milestones together. Kevin luckily is a compassionate man who, deep down, still likely has feelings for the woman he once called his wife. The photo above reveals Kevin will spend some time saying goodbye to Sophie’s mother, Claire, someone who Kevin likely got to know years ago.

Kevin’s second mother?

This flashback photo reveals Kevin and Claire may have formed a special bond during Kevin’s youth. The context of the moment depicted above is unknown, yet this appears to be during his high school years around the time his father passed away. It seems as if Claire was an important figure in Kevin’s life.

Car conversations

This Is Us fans know that car conversations are often very important moments for the Pearson family. Even though this is a sad time for Sophie, there’s no doubt that Kevin will find a way to put a smile on her face. Will their laughs and memories be enough to rekindle their flame?

We also know that we’ll see many scenes of young Kevin and Sophie together chatting in a car, snuggling together at a bonfire, and even enjoying a movie date. Hopefully we learn plenty more about their past through these scenes to see how their behavior shaped what became of their marriage.
