This Is Us Season 4, Episode 13 photos: Is Kate comfortable with Marc?

Early photos from This Is Us Season 4, Episode 13 reveal more interactions between Kate and Marc. Is Marc being too controlling in their relationship?

This Is Us returns on Tuesday after a brief hiatus to wrap up the trilogy focusing on The Big Three’s horrible week. “A Hell of a Week: Part Three” will dive into Kate’s teenage relationship with Marc and how that is affecting her in the present day. NBC’s exclusive photos have allowed us the opportunity to preview what we can expect from Episode 13.

Before Rebecca is called to come to the aid of Kate, it looks like she’ll accompany the couple on a possible breakfast date. When Marc is on our screens, he almost always has his hands on Kate, leading us to believe he wants to be in control at all times. Even with Rebecca present, Marc doesn’t hold back in showing his affection. How intense is this conversation? None of them look thrilled to be there honestly.

On the flip side, this photo demonstrates Marc and Kate having a good time while out to eat. Perhaps the conversation has shifted to a lighter note. Kate appears to be really happy as Marc still has his hands all over her. I get the feeling that Rebecca wants to check in with them to see how they’re doing, and the kids do a great job of convincing her their relationship is full of heart-eyes and cute kisses.

Speaking of cute kisses, this photo reveals Marc and Kate out in the snow sharing what looks like a heartfelt moment. I can’t help but wonder if Kate’s eyes are telling us a deeper story. Most of the photos show she’s on the receiving end of the affection, and not necessarily the one showing it.

These pics don’t quite answer our questions, but we should know everything by the end of Episode 13 on Tuesday night. Check out the promo right here:
