This Is Us Season 4, Episode 15 prediction: Toby will finally make things right
This Is Us Season 4 has explored a difficult chapter in Kate and Toby’s marriage. Here’s why Episode 15 will likely resolve their current predicament.
This Is Us fans have been concerned about Kate and Toby’s future for a while now ever since that Season 3 flash-forward scene revealed Toby bedridden with depression, leaving Kate (and viewers) uncertain of their future.
Season 4 introduced a new roadblock as the couple had to adapt to their son being born with blindness. Toby ended up not coping as well, spending more time at work and the gym. He even befriended a flirtatious woman from his CrossFit group, leaving us to wonder if KaToby would survive.

Within the last few weeks, Kate and Toby have had serious conversations to determine how they’re going to proceed. Even though they were apart, there’s no denying that Episode 14 marked another turning point in their marriage. “The Cabin” saw Toby left alone to watch Jack as Kate joined her siblings for a retreat at the family’s cabin, allowing for both to do some reflecting.
I’m sure I wasn’t the only one getting emotional when Toby saved Jack from choking on his food. That intense moment was a huge breakthrough for the father and son who hadn’t had many chances to connect this season. Now, we have to wonder what will happen when Kate returns home.
Episode 15’s synopsis states, “Toby makes a grand gesture,” and I’m almost positive this will involve Kate, and maybe even Jack. After weeks of wondering if their marriage will survive, I predict Toby will realize how difficult he was making things for their family, thus leading to this grand gesture to make peace with his wife.
How exactly this grand gesture will go down remains a mystery, though. This week’s This Is Us promo is heavily focused on Randall, so there’s no hints as to what is in store Kate and Toby. I would love to see Toby take Kate on a romantic date to profess his love for her (and Jack) all over again.
Let’s just hope Kate is on the same page. We can’t forget she seems to be taking an interest in next door neighbor Gregory. But as Season 4 comes to its conclusion, This Is Us fans need to know that KaToby will be all right.
