Dave Annable makes his This Is Us debut as the Pearson’s head to New York City. Here’s what to expect and how to watch Season 4, Episode 16 live.

This Is Us Season 4 is winding down, but that doesn’t mean the tears will stop flowing. In fact, Episode 16 is sure to be an eventful one. Kevin has invited Rebecca to his movie premiere in New York, probably much to the chagrin of Randall. Plus, Dave Annable will make his awaited debut, but will it be in the past or present?

What could possibly go wrong? Here’s everything you need to know about “New York, New York, New York.” (Did I mention Episode 16 is set in New York?)

The Big Apple

So, we know that Kevin and Rebecca will  spend more quality time in this hour, but this time it will be on the red carpet under the bright lights of New York City. To parallel this event, we’ll also see a young Jack and Rebecca venturing throughout the Big Apple. It remains to be seen if The Little Three will have their own trip there as well.

In the present day, expect there to be lots of friction between the Pearson brothers. Randall wants to protect his mother at all costs, while Kevin wants her to live out the rest of her life as glamorous and carefree as possible. Is this the night that leads them to no longer be on speaking terms?

We can’t help but notice in the photo above that the brothers could be in search of something, perhaps Rebecca? Whatever the case may be, they don’t look thrilled. I can only imagine how losing their mother in the city will divide them.

Dave Annable’s debut

It’s happening! Former Red Band Society star Dave Annable will appear in Episode 16, and we have our first glimpse of him in the photo below.

We already know that Annable’s role will be Kevin’s acting teacher, Kirby. However, we are still unsure if we’ll meet him in the past or present. Based on the photo, I’m predicting we see Kirby in both timelines. My guess is Kevin bumps into his teacher at the movie premiere, which will pave the way for flashbacks featuring a young Kevin and Kirby.

What impact will Kirby have on Kevin’s life? Will we meet Kirby any more after Episode 16? We have lots of questions.
