Cruel Intentions reboot series finally gets a trailer and November 2024 release date

Amazon Prime Video has just unveiled the tantalizing trailer for the highly anticipated Cruel Intentions reboot series, igniting excitement for a fresh take on the timeless tale of seduction and betrayal. Cruel Intentions serves as a new television series adaptation of the hit '90s teen romantic drama film of the same name, which starred Sarah Michelle Gellar, Ryan Phillippe, Reese Witherspoon, and Selma Blair. It was initially set to be released on Freevee, but Amazon decided to release it on its Prime Video streaming service instead.

The first season will consist of eight episodes, which will all drop on Prime Video on Thursday, Nov. 21, 2024. Be sure to save this date because you don't want to miss its release! This updated remake is set in Washington, D.C. We follow two ruthless step-siblings, Caroline Merteuil and Lucien Belmont, who are determined to maintain their dominance in the cutthroat social scene of their elite college. When a shocking hazing incident jeopardizes the entire Panhellenic system at their school, they’ll go to any lengths to protect their power and status, even if it means seducing the daughter of the Vice President of the United States.

Sarah Catherine Hook (First Kill, The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It) stars as Caroline Merteuil, while Zac Burgess (Boy Swallows Universe) portrays Lucien Belmont. Gossip Girl's Savannah Lee Smith portrays the role of Annie Grover in the series, the daughter of the Vice President of the United States. Sara Silva, Khobe Clarke, John Harlan Kim, Brooke Lena Johnson, Claire Forlani, Nikki Crawford, Isabella Tagliati, Zeke Goodman, Jon Tenney, and Sean Patrick Thomas also star.
