The major challenge they face in their relationship is the fact that Henry has a rare genetic disorder where he uncontrollably travels through time. This puts a strain on their relationship, with Clare having to cope with the loneliness and uncertainty of not knowing when or where Henry will appear next.

Rachel McAdams and Eric Bana star as Clare and Henry. Arliss Howard, Ron Livingston, Stephen Tobolowsky, Michelle Nolden, Hailey McCann, and others also appear in the film.
