One woman's past has deadly consequences in the LAID trailer

Stephanie Hsu gets the leading role she deserves as a woman who needs to tell all her exes they could die. Take a look at what to expect in LAID on Peacock.

Having multiple partners can lead to some consequences, but nothing like Stephanie Hsu’s Ruby will experience in LAID. Her exes are dying, and she needs to warn them in the hopes of saving them.

Peacock is bringing us a rom-com just ahead of Christmas. It’s packed with comedy, love, social questions, and much more. Ruby needs to get to the bottom of what’s killing all her exes—and death and love do not discriminate.

The official trailer is out, and it gives us a great look at what to expect without giving everything away. At first, it just seems like a bit of a coincidence. Three of Ruby’s exes are killed, in some weird ways, but that can be normal, right? Death comes for us all!

Then another three die. Now Ruby, and her best friend AJ, played by the wonderful Zosia Mamet, need to figure out what’s going on. The only way to potentially stop another death is by warning her exes. AJ is more than willing to dive into this, putting together a sex board for Ruby to figure out who could be next.

There are some interesting choices when it comes to locations to tell her exes where she could die. One of those seems to be on a plane. Let’s hope this isn’t Final Destination and saving one person ends up with a disastrous chain of events.

When will LAID come to Peacock?

The series will premiere on Thursday, Dec. 19. All eight episodes will drop at once on Peacock, giving you the perfect rom-com binge-watch ahead of the holiday season.

Each episode is 30 minutes long. Yes, this is your traditional comedy series.

Who will star in LAID?

Stephanie Hsu gets her chance to star in her own show. She’ll play Ruby, who has spent the last 20 years in the dating world and is still struggling to settle down. She has a long list of exes to get through. Hopefully, she won’t need to go into past lives and head to the world of The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel to save Joel Maisel from death!

Zosia Mamet takes on the role of AJ, Ruby’s best friend who literally puts together a sex board. It’s the new murder board!
