Heartland season 17 DVD release confirmed for November 2024

Heartland season 18 just premiered on Sunday, Sept. 29, on CBC Gem in Canada. If you don't live in the Great White North or if you're a fan of owning your favorite shows on DVD and Blu-ray, we have some excellent news for you about Heartland season 17!
Heartland season 17 will be released on DVD on Nov. 5. Lionsgate, who is distributing the new season, shared a press release with FanSided Entertainment and confirmed the DVD release date for the previous season of the western romance series.
You can order Heartland season 17 on DVD for $39.99. There are 10 episodes in season 17, so that's a pretty good deal! Watch out, though! I saw a number of fake or unofficial DVDs of Heartland season 17 on Amazon and Walmart, so make sure you order the official version of the series on Nov. 5. It's unclear if you will be able to pre-order, but we'll let you know as soon as we find out.
Heartland season 17 premiered on CBC TV on Oct. 1, 2023, and ran for 10 consecutive weeks through Dec. 3, 2023. Amber Marshall, Michelle Morgan, Shaun Johnston, Kerry James, Gabriel Hogan, Baye McPherson, Jessica Steen, Ava Tran, Ruby Spencer, Emmanuella Spencer, Alisha Newton, Lucian-River Chauhan, and more star in the hit series.
Lionsgate also shared synopsis for Heartland season 17.
"Amy and the rest of the “Heartland” family know better than most that while dreams can sometimes come true, more often life goes in unexpected directions. In season 17, the Bartlett-Fleming family finds themselves excited for the future and ready to embrace new adventures, challenges, and relationships. But no matter how much things change, Amy, Lou, Jack, and Tim continue to fight for what they believe in while staying rooted in the land that has been in the Bartlett-Fleming family for generations."
During season 17, one of the longest-running Canadian TV shows in history celebrated its 250th episodes. That's so incredible for so many reasons, and it's a testament to all of the fans who have been with the series since the beginning.
It's obviously a bummer that you won't get to watch Heartland season 17 on DVD before the premiere of Heartland season 18. The season premiere is already available on CBC Gem, and the official premiere is slated for Sunday, Oct. 6, on CBC TV at 7 p.m. ET. But, it's a great season to add to the collection; that's for sure.
As of right now, the only place to stream Heartland season 17 in the United States right now is on Up Faith & Family. Eventually, Heartland season 17 will be on Netflix, just like the first 16 seasons of the series, but it's likely that will not be until at least May 2025. So, the DVD version is actually a good investment if you're not interested in subscribing to Up Faith & Family right now.
