Heartstopper season 3 release date, time, cast, and everything to know

Heartstopper is back with new episodes on Netflix very soon! Fans can't wait to see what's next for Nick (Kit Connor) and Charlie (Joe Locke).
The new season is reportedly going to follow Heartstopper Vol. 4 by Alice Oseman, who wrote the graphic novel series and also created the Netflix series of the same name. It's been a while since the second season premiered on Netflix on Aug. 3, 2023. Fans, who didn't watch the leaked episodes that were stolen by hackers online this summer, have been waiting more than a year to watch. We shared everything we know about the new season heading into season 3.
Heartstopper season 3 release date and time
Heartstopper season 3 premieres on Netflix on Thursday, Oct. 3. Fans can watch all eight episodes of season 3 at the same time (12:00 a.m. PT). That's 3 a.m. ET, and it's 8 a.m. BST. So, if you're watching Heartstopper season 3 in the US or the UK.
You might as well take that Thursday off from work or school. If you live in the US, you're going to be up all night watching the new season once, twice, or three times. If you live in the UK, you're going to be watching all day. It's just easier that way!

There are a few new characters joining the cast in season 3, as you'll notice on that list. Most importantly, Bridgerton star Jonathan Bailey is joining the series as Jack Maddox, a social media star who also happens to be the crush of Nick or Charlie, according to Variety. You'll have to tune in to find out! We also have a few new characters played by Hayley Atwell, who is playing Charlie's aunt, Eddie Marsan, and Darragh Hand, according to the report.
Heartstopper season 3 trailer and synopsis
The trailer for Heartstopper season 3 is already here! In the trailer, we see Charlie and Nick at the beach. It seems like the series is going to focus a lot more on some of the other supporting characters in the new season, as well, and everyone is going through it!
Charlie is struggling with some mental health issues, which is very worrying and concerning to Nick. It looks like he's going to be going through some therapy or something similar in the new season.
At the end of the trailer, we see Jonathan Bailey's character, Jack Maddox, for the first time.
We also shared the logline and synopsis for the new season, via Netflix:
"Charlie and Nick are ready to take things to the next level. As they get closer in every way, they face their relationship’s biggest challenge yet.
Charlie would like to tell Nick that he loves him. Nick also has something important to say to Charlie. As the summer holiday ends and the months race on, the friends begin to realize that the school year will come with both its joys and its challenges. As they learn more about each other and their relationships, plan social events and parties, and start thinking about university choices, everyone must learn to lean on those they love when life doesn't go to plan. "
Heartstopper not renewed for season 4 yet
Unfortunately, Heartstopper has not been renewed for season 4 yet. We're still waiting to find out what's next for this series and if this is going to be the end. We hope it's not the end. It can't be the end, right?
After the first season premiered in April 2022, Netflix renewed Heartstopper for two seasons (season 2 and season 3), so it's been a while since we have seen any renewal chatter for this show. On one side, it's great that Netflix was so confident to order two seasons. On the other, if viewership hasn't reached the level that Netflix needs to see, Heartstopper season 4 might not happen.
So, what needs to happen? Well, fans need to tune in immediately when season 3 premieres, watch the full season in a short-ish amount of time, and then spread the word and try to get more fans to watch. That's how you get a Netflix show renewed!
