Fans of Twisted Love and the other books in the series, rejoice! The book series by Ana Huang has been picked up to be adapted into a TV series.
Netflix has landed the rights to transform the four books in the series into a show. Each book is a standalone story within the same world. Sort of. They do all connect, but you don’t need to know the story from each book to enjoy the individual ones.
How the Netflix series transforms the stories is another thing. Will it interconnect all four tales?
What is the Twisted Love series about?
Twisted Love is the first book in the Twisted series by Ana Huang. It follows Ava, a college student who finds herself being watched over by her brother’s best friend while he is away. The best friend, Alex, has always come across as cold-hearted and down-right mean, but there is a protective streak in him.
What people don’t realize is that he has a dark and twisted past. He is hellbent on revenge, and he has the money and power to do that. However, what happens when he starts to fall for his best friend’s little sister? Will that change everything?

Twisted Games follows, and this one follows one of Ava’s best friends, Bridget, the Princess of Eldora. As the spare to the throne, she gets to live her life a little more carefree than her brother, the heir. So what happens when her brother decides to abdicate, and Bridget is suddenly forced into a position she never wanted?
Her new bodyguard is determined to make sure she remains safe, but Bridget doesn’t make it easy. However, he does take his job seriously, and that’s not just because of the feelings he starts to have for his charge.
Twisted Hate is the third book, and it follows the enemies to lovers trope. It follows Jules, Ava’s other best friend, who is a former party girl determined to pass the bar exam to become an attorney. She is not interested in a certain sexy doctor, until she is.
That sexy doctor is Josh Chen, Ava’s brother. Josh has always been able to charm the ladies, but Jules is the exception. Of course, that takes over his thoughts, and he needs to get it all out of his system. What harm could there be in an enemies with benefits situation? Well, how about when that turns into love?
Finally, we have Twisted Lies, which follows Christian Harper, who is connected to Rhys from the second book in the series. He is the owner of Harper Security, and he regularly plays chess with Alex Volkov. Christian is charming and deadly, but he’s also smart enough to hide the monster that he is. That is until he starts to fall for the shy and introverted Stella.
Stella has a huge social media following despite her shy nature. She’s one of those who will keep her heart locked away, with the threat of her past coming up causing her to hide as much as possible. However, when that past threatens to come up, she ends up turning to Christian for help. Maybe she could slowly let him in.
When should we expect the Twisted series to come to Netflix?
There are no words on when Twisted Love could come to Netflix. Right now, the series has just been announced, and there are no casting details or other information.
This is likely planned for the 2026 season at the earliest. However, we could see it take until 2027. It’s certainly something I’ll be keeping an eye on as a fan of the books!
