The month of love is just around the corner, and that means we’re looking for more romance shows and movies to check out. Sometimes, we need something feel-good at the same time, and Waitress: The Musical offers something for all.

The production will be similar to Hamilton, in that this is a Broadway production put together for the small screen so that we can all enjoy. However, if you want to watch the movie that this musical is based on, there’s more great news. Both of them will arrive on Max throughout the month of February.

When will Waitress: The Musical arrive on Max?

Warner Bros. announced that Waitress: The Musical will be available to stream on the most romantic day of the year. Yes, it’s all about Valentine’s Day. You’ll be able to watch Sara Bareilles star as Jenna Hunterson, a waitress and expert pie make stuck in life. She’s in a loveless marriage, in a small town, and she just wants out.

Then there’s a chance! A baking contest in a nearby county offers her that first opportunity to escape. She can fight for herself and her happiness.

Of course, it leads to unexpected romance! It wouldn’t be something for Valentine’s Day if it didn’t! But this is more than just a story about love. It’s about recapturing yourself and the family we choose instead of what we’re given in life.

Jessie Helson adapted the movie for the stage production. Bareilles composed the music and lyrics, for which she earned GRAMMY and Tony nominations.

When will Waitress the movie come to Max?

The Broadway production is a musical, and this isn’t for everyone. Maybe you want to watch the movie that the musical is based on. Or maybe you want to experience both! The great news is you can, with Waitress heading to Max on Saturday, Feb. 1.

The movie was written by the late Adrienne Shelly and stars Keri Russell in the leading role. Nathan Fillion also stars in the movie.

This is certainly an exciting time for those who have wanted to see the Broadway production but couldn’t make it to New York. Don’t we just love how accessible everything is starting to become?

Waitress will be on Max on Saturday, Feb. 1, and Waitress: The Musical will be available on Friday, Feb. 14 on Max.
