Get ready for more laughs, love, and a little bit of chaos! The trailer for Bridget Jones: Mad About the Boy has finally dropped, and Bridget is back, diving into the world of dating once again after losing the love of her life, Mark Darcy. Yes, you read that right. Believe me. We're just as shocked as you!

Bridget Jones: Mad About the Boy serves as a sequel to Bridget Jones's Baby (2016), which saw Bridget and Mark have a baby and get married. However, according to the new movie's official synopsis, Bridget and Mark are no longer together as Mark was killed on a humanitarian mission in Sudan four years prior to the events happening in the film.

Bridget is left a widow while taking care of their two kids, 9-year-old Billy and 4-year-old Mabel, with the help of her closest friends and former lover, Daniel Cleaver. But now that a good amount of time has passed, it's time for Bridget to take a new approach to life and love. That means returning to work and putting herself back out there in the dating world. One of her pursuers turns out to be Roxster, a charming 29-year-old man.

Bridget Jones: Mad About the Boy is based on Helen Fielding's 2013 romance novel of the same name. Michael Morris (To Leslie, Better Call Saul) directed the film from a screenplay co-written by Fielding, Dan Mazer (Bridget Jones’s Baby), and Abi Morgan (Eric).

Renée Zellweger reprises her role as Bridget Jones, while Hugh Grant returns as Daniel Cleaver. Jim Broadbent and Gemma Jones also return as Bridget's parents, Colin and Pamela Jones. Leo Woodall plays Roxster. Emma Thompson, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Isla Fisher, Josette Simon, Nico Parker, and Leila Farzad are also in the cast.

This rom-com will be released in theaters internationally on Feb. 12, 2025, followed by an exclusive U.S. streaming release on Peacock on Feb. 13, 2025. Don't forget to save the date. This isn't a movie you want to miss!
