Teddy's timing could be the downfall of her marriage in Grey's Anatomy

While Teddy was right to tell Owen about Cass in Grey's Anatomy, her timing needs some work.

If there is one Grey’s Anatomy couple we’ve seen not working for some time now, it’s Owen and Teddy. Sure, Teddy was right in telling Owen what happened, but her timing needs work.

I’ll be honest and say that I was worried Grey’s Anatomy would repeat a storyline from earlier in the series. I thought Sophia Bush’s Cass was going to come in and cause problems for Teddy and Owen’s marriage because she didn’t care about them being married—something similar to Hilarie Burton coming in as Dr. Lauren Boswell.

I was pleasantly surprised to see Cass look genuinely apologetic when she kissed Teddy. She misread signals, and she doesn’t want to cause trouble for Teddy and Owen’s marriage. To be honest, it’s not going to be Cass’ fault at this point.

Teddy has some terrible timing in Grey’s Anatomy

Now yes, Teddy needed to tell Owen about this. I think something as innocent as what did happen should be discussed. Teddy didn’t do anything wrong. She didn’t kiss Cass back, and she stopped it right away. She even went home afterward!

However, Teddy’s timing to have that conversation was terrible. Also, the delivery was even worse. She passed it off as a joke; as something drunk women do. The problem is Owen had just woken up from a nap after a long night at the hospital, so he was already groggy as she did that. On top of that, Teddy has a history of cheating and hiding things from Owen.

I get that she’s trying to be open, but she needs to work on her timing. Owen needed time to process everything, and he needed to be able to ask questions. There wasn’t that time with Owen having to get back to work. This is surely something that will come up in therapy, and I have a feeling Cass is going to show up as a problem at some point, even if she didn’t mean to cause issues at first.

This is so on form for Teddy, though. She doesn’t have the best timing for conversations, and she is a selfish person at times. That’s not to say Owen is perfect, but these two just don’t work as a couple. They never have!
