There is one person Webber should be angry at in Grey's Anatomy (and it's not Meredith)

Webber is angry and disappointed that Meredith didn't tell him about Catherine's health issues in Grey's Anatomy. However, Meredith is not the person he should be angry at.

Meredith finally had to tell Webber the truth about Catherine in Grey’s Anatomy. Of course, it led to Webber being angry, and he’s angry at the wrong person.

During Grey’s Anatomy season 21, episode 3, Catherine’s biopsy had some complications, and it meant that Meredith finally had no choice but to tell Webber the truth. As you would expect, after it was all done, he gave Meredith a piece of his mind.

Meredith didn’t deserve Webber’s anger in Grey’s Anatomy

I understand that Webber is scared and angry. He needed to let that out, and Meredith was the one there. She was the one who kept Catherine’s medical diagnosis from him, and she was the one who pulled other people in before telling Webber.

Yet, all Webber has to do is consider the fact that Catherine did not want him to know. She made it very clear that Meredith couldn’t tell anyone. Meredith had already broken some of the rules by telling Bailey, but Catherine accepted that because Meredith and Bailey working together are the best team you could ask for in general surgery.

Meredith then involved Nick, but that was for two reasons. The first is that Meredith and Nick need to be on the same page as a couple, and the second is because Nick could keep Webber occupied. When it came to the 911 text in the OR, Nick knew he had to send Webber away and tell him the truth.

The only time anyone needed (and was even allowed) to go against Catherine’s wishes was when there was a chance that she could die. At that point, the doctors would have done it for any patient, Catherine included.

Webber should know that. Naturally, he wasn’t thinking clearly as he was the spouse at that moment, but he is going to owe Meredith an apology. Knowing Catherine’s wrath, she would have gone after Meredith for breaking HIPPA.

Catherine better back Meredith up after this

The only person Webber should be angry at is Catherine. Now, I understand that he can’t be right now. She’s recovering, and the last thing she needs is the extra stress from his anger. However, once Catherine has recovered, she better stick up for Meredith in all of this. Catherine was the one who put Meredith in this situation in the first place.

If Catherine doesn’t do it, I hope Jackson does. Jackson has been where Meredith is. Remember when Maggie’s mom came to see him about a mark on her breast and found out that it was breast cancer? She didn’t want Maggie to know, and Jackson had to abide by his patient’s wishes.

Webber has also been in that position in the past. Every single doctor has. So, someone better stick up for Meredith. We know Bailey and Nick will, but they are also in Webber’s bad books right now. Someone else in the hospital needs to.

We have seen Meredith and Webber fight before. In the end, one of them has apologized. Hopefully, it won’t take too long for Webber to realize he was out of line.
